📘 How to Play Match Gems

In Match Gems, you swap the position of colored gems by clicking and dragging one gem onto an adjacent space. When you align three or more gems of the same color in a row, they disappear and you earn points.

1. Click on any gem and drag it to an adjacent empty spot next to another gem.
2. If the moved gem forms a line of three or more matching colors, those gems will vanish and you get points.
3. The gems above the vanished ones fall down, and new gems appear at the top.
4. Incorrect moves do not earn points and return the gem to its original position, but new gems still drop.

👶 What to expect at ages 6-14

Your child is expected to align gems deliberately rather than randomly to prevent the board from running out of space. The game does not increase in difficulty, but earning more points requires careful planning of each move.

🏠 At home and in class

Discuss which three-gem combinations can be formed after identifying the color of a specific gem. Asking 'Which new gem will fall into this spot?' after every move helps develop better strategy.

• If the board looks cluttered, use the shuffle button to rearrange the gems for easier matches.
• Focus on making moves that allow new gems to drop effectively, rather than just trying to score points immediately.
