📘 How to Play Jump Platformer

Run the little hero to the right, jump over gaps and spikes, collect the stars and reach the flag. Arrow keys or the on-screen ◀ ▶ buttons run, ⤒ (up arrow / space) jumps. A short press makes a low jump, a long press a high one. Land on a 🍄 mushroom to bounce very high. Touching a spike or falling into a gap sends you back to the start of the level; collected stars are kept. All six levels were hand-drawn and proven solvable by a solver that plays them through.

🧠 What it builds

This game targets timing, reflexes and judging distance. Short, regular sessions (10-15 minutes a day) work better than one long sitting.

📱 Where it runs

Works in the browser on phone, tablet and desktop — no install, no sign-up. Turn the phone sideways and the layout rearranges itself, keeping every control finger-sized.

🎯 Who it is for

Designed for ages 5-10. Younger children can play with an adult, older ones on their own.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

Are the levels really beatable?

Yes, all six. Every level was played through by a solver running the game's own physics — both with frame-perfect input and with a "child reflex" setting that decides only 8 times per second. No unbeatable level was published.

Do I lose my stars when I die?

No. Touching a spike or falling returns you to the start of the level, but collected stars stay with you. Only the death count is shown at the top.

Why is my jump sometimes short?

A short press gives a low jump; hold the button for a high one. You can also still jump for about a tenth of a second after running off a platform — that "coyote time" keeps the game fair.

How many levels, and what happens after?

Six levels. After the sixth you return to the first; your current level is remembered on this device. The goal is to finish every level with all the stars.

Does the space bar scroll the page?

No. While the game is open, space and the arrow keys only move the hero; the page stays put.
