A patient sits in the chair with an open mouth and some bad teeth. Yellow plaque is cleaned with the brush (3 strokes), a dark cavity with the drill (2) and then the filling (1), a green bit of food with tweezers (1) and grey tartar with water (2 sprays). Pick a tool at the bottom, then tap a tooth. With the wrong tool the patient says "Ouch!" and tells you the right one; there is no penalty, but mistakes lower your star rating. When every tooth is healthy the patient smiles, the next one arrives, and each patient has a few more problems.

Why does a cavity need two tools?
As in real dentistry: first the decayed part is cleaned out with the drill, then the hole is closed with a filling. Children learn the "clean first, then fill" order.
Does the patient suffer when I pick the wrong tool?
The patient says "Ouch!" for a moment and names the right tool, then goes back to smiling. The game is meant to make the dentist familiar, not scary.
How many patients are there?
Ten patient levels, each with more bad teeth. The first patient only has plaque and food; cavities and tartar appear from the second patient on. Your current patient is remembered on this device.
How are the stars decided?
No wrong tool gives 3 ⭐, one or two mistakes 2 ⭐, more than that 1 ⭐. There is no timer — being careful matters more than being fast.
Why only 12 teeth?
So that every tooth stays finger-sized on a small screen: 6 upper and 6 lower. Fewer than a real mouth, but easy to tap.
