Bubbles scattered across the board carry operations: ×2, ×3, ÷2, +2, −3. Eating one changes the snake's length by that operation, and the screen shows "12 × 2 = 24" so you see the result in your own body. On a long snake ×2 is enormous; on a short one +2 is relatively bigger — you feel that difference by playing, not by being told.

  1. Choose a difficulty. On Easy the caterpillar is very slow and only +2, −3 and ×2 bubbles appear.
  2. The snake always moves forward; you turn gradually with the left/right arrows, A/D, or by touching the left or right half of the screen. There are no sharp 90° turns.
  3. Eating a bubble scores 10 points and changes your length; the operation appears on screen.
  4. A caterpillar follows your trail, slightly slower than you. If it catches your tail the game ends.
  5. Walls do not kill — you leave one edge and return on the other. Only the caterpillar or your own body ends the game.

🎯 What to expect at this age

Children aged 6-8 first chase ×3 because "bigger is better" and feed the caterpillar; within a few rounds they discover that length has a price. Around 9-10 they learn to eat ÷2 deliberately and escape. For 11-12 the real question becomes: stay short and safe, or grow and score more?
