Gem Match is a classic, calm matching game on a 7x7 board where you swap neighboring gems to line up 3 or more of the same color. There is no move limit, no level, and no goal you must finish — play for as long as you like.
- Tap or start dragging a gem on the board.
- Swap it with a horizontal or vertical neighbor; 3 or more of the same color in a row pops.
- Gems above fall into place and new ones appear, which can create new matches on their own (a combo).
- If no moves remain, the board reshuffles itself — or tap 🔀 to shuffle any time you like.
💎 6 real gems, 6 distinct colors
Red ruby, golden amber, emerald green, sky topaz, sapphire blue, and amethyst purple — each one was chosen to differ in both hue and brightness, so children with color blindness can tell them apart too.
⛓️ How do combos work?
When gems falling after a match create a new match on their own, that counts as a "chain" (combo) and the score multiplier goes up. The longer the chain, the higher the musical notes climb — a reward you can follow by ear alone.
👶 What to expect at age 4-10
For the youngest players, the skill is simple: "swap two, something happens." Older kids start predicting which move will trigger the biggest chain — thinking a few moves ahead.
🏠 Use at home
- With no move limit, a 2-minute break and a 20-minute session feel equally satisfying.
- The board never "locks up" — it reshuffles itself automatically, so a child is never stuck.
- An adult can support counting and observation skills by asking "which gem do you see the most of?"
