📘 How to Play Air Hockey

The left half of the table is yours, the right half belongs to your opponent. Put your finger (or the mouse) on the table and drag — your paddle follows. Push the puck with the paddle and get it into the other goal. The puck bounces off the rails, so angled shots can fool the defence. Your own goal is open too: keep the paddle in front of it to block. First to 7 goals wins. Play the computer, or two of you can play on one screen with a finger each.

🧠 What it builds

This game targets reflexes and angles. Short, regular sessions (10-15 minutes a day) work better than one long sitting.

📱 Where it runs

Works in the browser on phone, tablet and desktop — no install, no sign-up. Turn the phone sideways and the layout rearranges itself, keeping every control finger-sized.

🎯 Who it is for

Designed for ages 5-12. Younger children can play with an adult, older ones on their own.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

How do two people play on one phone?

Choose "2 Players" and hold the phone sideways. Each player puts a finger on their own half; the screen tracks both fingers at once. A finger cannot cross to the other half — the paddle stops at the centre line.

The puck is fast — can I slow it down?

The puck slows on its own thanks to friction, and a gentle push sends it slowly. Speed depends entirely on how fast you move the paddle, so younger kids can simply drag slowly.

How does the computer play?

When the puck is on its half it gets behind the puck and pushes toward your goal; when the puck is on your half it returns to guard. It is weak against angled shots off the rails — try those.

Where does the puck go after a goal?

The new puck is placed on the side of the player who conceded, so the serve advantage always goes to them.

Can I play with a mouse?

Yes. Press and drag the mouse inside your half; the paddle follows the pointer.
