📘 How to Play Pool

Press on the white ball and pull your finger back to aim: the dotted line shows the direction, and the further you pull the harder you hit. Release to shoot — the cue ball hits the coloured balls, bounces off the cushions and sinks them into the pockets. Solo, the goal is to clear the table in the fewest shots; sinking the cue ball costs an extra shot. With two players you alternate: pocket a ball and you shoot again, and whoever sinks more balls wins. Higher levels put more balls on the table.

🧠 What it builds

This game targets angles, power and physics intuition. Short, regular sessions (10-15 minutes a day) work better than one long sitting.

📱 Where it runs

Works in the browser on phone, tablet and desktop — no install, no sign-up. Turn the phone sideways and the layout rearranges itself, keeping every control finger-sized.

🎯 Who it is for

Designed for ages 7-12. Younger children can play with an adult, older ones on their own.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

Why do I pull back to aim?

Slingshot logic: the further you pull your finger back, the harder the ball goes that way. For young children it is easier than "pushing" forward because your finger never covers the aiming line.

Why do balls sometimes slow down after hitting each other?

Real physics: speed is shared between the balls in a collision, cushions absorb some energy and the cloth slows everything constantly. Hit harder for a far pocket.

I sank the cue ball — what happens?

It is placed back on the left of the table; solo it adds one shot to your count, with two players you lose one ball point and the turn passes.

How do the levels progress?

Clearing the table solo raises the level: it starts with 6 balls and goes up to 9, 12 and 15. The level is remembered on this device.

The cue ball is in a corner — how do I shoot?

You can press anywhere near the ball (up to 70 pixels away) and pull back; your finger does not have to be exactly on it.
