Because this is a puzzle, not a reflex game. Every key press moves it exactly one square, so a child can think without rushing.
How far back does Undo go?
Up to the last 40 moves. Pressing it repeatedly is fine — it walks back to the start and stops there.
Do I get a new level when I lose?
No, the same level restarts. In a puzzle game the learning comes from trying the same board again.
Are the levels always solvable?
Yes. Every level is played through by a solver as it is generated; a board that cannot be solved is never shown.
